Project Description: Manchester Arndale shopping centre is the biggest inner-city shopping centre in the country and the largest of the chain of Arndale Centres built across the UK.
The centre opened in 1975 and has a retail floorspace of just under 1,400,00 sq ft, making it Europe’s third largest city-centre shopping mall. Manchester Arndale has a selection of exciting shops from the leading high street names such as Apple, Monki and River Island to lots of smaller, stylish specialists and food outlets, all under one roof. It attracts 41 million visitors annually.
Throughout the Summer months of 2022, the Link CCTV Systems’ Projects Team completed a security system upgrade at Manchester Arndale. The works comprised of a new Avigilon recording platform and over 200 new cameras including multiple ANPR cameras. This replaced their legacy system that had been in place for over 20 years.
Link once again partnered with Avigilon for this project, installing a complete Avigilon end-to-end solution, one we can seamlessly deploy due to our experience and technical expertise. The Projects Team excelled on this project, completing the install to the highest standard.
