The project was over a year in planning, consisting of a full replacement of aged analogue equipment and an update to the control room. Some new speakers even found their way in!
Link’s Commercial Manager, Bradley Smith had this to say:
“It was a real pleasure working with the team at the Pentagon and seeing the improvement to their imaging first-hand. The biggest challenge in this project was keeping the busy control room online with the absolute minimum of downtime while the installation took place. Thankfully our team are very experienced with this, and the site was very supportive. I’m really proud of the installation team and grateful for the trust placed in us by the Centre.”
In total, the Centre now has 80 high-definition video streams (adding approximately 20% in the process) on an expanded control room, supplemented with new digital speakers.
